Gender Equality
Wassup guys ? Thanks for visiting my blog, I hope y'all healthy and stay at home during this pandemic. This time I will share my experience about my 'investigatiton, planning, and action' for the 'Gender Equality' SDG's topic. Happy Reading peeps !
The first thing to do is to investigate about what is gender equality, so gender equality is when people of all genders have equal rights, responsibilities and opportunities. Everyone is affected by gender inequality - women, men, trans and gender diverse people, children and families. It impacts people of all ages and backgrounds.
We need gender equality urgently. Gender equality prevents violence against women and girls. It’s essential for economic prosperity. Societies that value women and men as equal are safer and healthier. Gender equality is a human right. Everyone benefits from gender equality.
It should be emphasized that the concept of gender equality is not only about women but also men. This can be seen when a man does not work and instead takes care of household chores, society's view will turn negative. Society tends to think that men have to work and women have to take care of household chores. When there is a change in the more general division of labor in society, society tends not to accept the change. In fact, giving negative assumptions to related parties.
In fact, a make up artist who is in charge of doing makeup can be more of a man than a woman. This shows that there are no specific standards related to the duties and roles of a man and a woman that can become an arena for the community to criticize the related parties.
Before taking action, I must do some preparation and planning before. I prepare by searching and reading source more about gender equality in Indonesia.
For the action I created an zoom meeting to sharing and discuss about gender equality. I'm very happy because I can spread awareness about gender equality to another person.
Well that's all my experience that I done in this weekend. Thanks for reading and have a nice day! See you again !

BalasHapusThe topics you cover are really great! We need more perception from people like you who really attach importance to that gender equality should be upheld in our country. Because people here are still unfamiliar with gender equality. Thank you for educating!
